Our Founder and President Hilda Melero Spotts is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Diplomate of the American Board of Sexology. She brings a wide spectrum of experience working with people with developmental disabilities in the community for the past 30 years.


Ms. Spotts holds a Masters degree in Social Work from Springfield College with a concentration in Developmental Disabilities and Mental Health. She has an extensive background in the field of Medical Social Work, Case Management, Administration, Advocacy, Training, and Education. She has worked with children and adults with developmental disabilities and has done comprehensive work in cross-cultural counseling, especially with the Latino population.

The National Association of Social Workers named Ms. Spotts Ocala's "Social Worker of the Year" for her commitment to the Social Work profession and her work in the field of Developmental Disabilities.
